It is arboreal meaning it mainly lives in trees.
Males die after reproduction in August, and babies are born in September-October.
We could not find traditional language names for many of the small mammals. Nowadays people often use a group name for these species, like burudburud. The small mammal group names for each language are listed below. You can see from the burudburud photos that they are look very similar. To identify different species we need to look at the body-tail length, and body, nose, eye, foot, tail and ear shape.
We don’t see many native burudburud anymore because of feral animals like cats eating them and hard-hoofed animals like buffalo damaging habitats
